Role Overview

The firm is seeking a Commercial Tax Attorney with 5–7 years of post-admission experience to join their dynamic Randburg team. This individual will play a key role in advising clients on complex tax and corporate matters, structuring efficient business arrangements, and ensuring full compliance with relevant legislation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal advice on corporate tax, business structuring, and governance matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial and tax-related agreements.
• Advise on cross-border transactions, mergers, and corporate reorganisations.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external accounting professionals to deliver integrated client solutions.
• Stay abreast of changes in tax law and advise clients accordingly.
• Engage with high-net-worth clients on strategic business and estate planning matters.

Requirements

• Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
• Minimum 5–7 years PQE, with proven experience in commercial and tax law.
• Strong drafting and analytical skills.
• Excellent understanding of corporate governance, structuring, and tax compliance.
• Exceptional client relationship and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
