OVERVIEW OF ROLE
Our client, a reputable law firm based in Durban, is seeking an experienced and highly organised Personal
Assistant to provide comprehensive executive support to senior management. The successful candidate will be
professional, discreet, and proactive — capable of managing a demanding and varied workload with efficiency,
accuracy, and a calm demeanour.
This role is well-suited to an experienced PA who takes genuine pride in their organisational abilities, thrives in
a fast-paced professional environment, and is committed to providing an exceptional standard of administrative
support.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The candidate’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
• Managing complex diaries, scheduling meetings, and coordinating all appointments for senior
management
• Screening and managing correspondence, calls, and emails, responding on behalf of executives where
appropriate
• Arranging domestic and international travel, accommodation, and detailed itineraries
• Preparing reports, presentations, formal documents, and professional correspondence
• Taking accurate and clear minutes in meetings and following up on all action items
• Coordinating internal and external communications on behalf of senior management
• Maintaining and organising electronic and physical filing systems to a high standard
• Assisting with the planning, coordination, and logistics of internal and external events
• Handling all confidential and sensitive information with absolute discretion
• Providing general office administration support as required
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Office Administration, Secretarial Studies, or equivalent
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as a Personal Assistant or Executive Secretary supporting senior
management
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Excellent command of English (written and verbal)
• Experience in a legal, professional services, or corporate environment is advantageous
SKILLS REQUIRED
• Exceptional diary management and complex scheduling skills
• Outstanding written and verbal communication at executive level
• Strong document preparation, editing, and proofreading skills
• Efficient travel coordination and logistics management
• Accurate minute-taking and clear, concise report-writing ability
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and remain composed under pressure
• Absolute professionalism in the handling of sensitive and confidential information
